Navigation rules

  • Can you navigate freely along the entire coast? What would be the appropriate distance?

Unfortunately not. The distance would be 200 m parallel to the coast, if we invaded that area we would be endangering the area intended for bathers.

  • At what height should we navigate in front of the cliffs?

When we navigate near a cliff we will leave a distance of 50 meters. Near the cliffs, under the sea there are many uneven rocks and can damage the boat.

  • Can I dock at any port?

No, each ship has its port, boarding and destination area.

  • Is it possible to anchor in all places freely?

No, we can only anchor on sandy bottoms, NEVER drop the anchor on top of the Posidonia. If we are at anchor, and we perceive that the boat is clawing, that is, it is moving because the anchor slides on the sand, we change our anchoring place, we could collide with other boats that are at anchor or go ours towards the rocks.

  • Can boats be rented for other types of events?

Yes, as long as you notify us in advance to organize them. We even collaborate with different companies to expand the service.

  • How many knots should we sail within the port?

As a general rule at 3 knots, once we have crossed the port, which we will identify because we will leave on our right a high and large red ball. We will be able to navigate at the maximum speed that the boat allows us.

  • What to do if we find a ship on board?

If we encounter a ship from the front, we must first observe by which side of our ship we observe it. If the boat is coming from our right starboard side, we will turn to our left port side. Those who navigate on the right always have preference. If in doubt, we stop the engine and when the boat passes we set sail.

  • On which side is it advisable to overtake?

We can overtake both port and starboard, keeping a safe distance.

  • Can we anchor near the beacons?

Yes, although it is advisable to leave a minimum distance of 40 m so as not to enter the areas intended for bathers.

  • What to do if we find strong waves while sailing?

When there is a little swell and we are sailing towards the bow, we will ride the wave on the next side. That is, if it comes from "right" starboard, we will turn smoothly to "left" port.

  • Can you navigate in shallow water?

Always respect the GPS indications, if you navigate through shallow water it will warn you to get away.
